Orbital is an employee owned software development services company located in Yaletown (Vancouver, BC). Our projects include: custom software solutions, application porting, cross-platform development (Windows, Mac, Linux, Symbian OS, Windows Mobile, and Solaris), database drivers and connectors (ODBC, OLE DB, OLE DB for OLAP, and XMLA), file filters and file converters, Smartphone solutions and wireless application development, and web development and integration. We work with some of the world’s leading software vendors to develop software solutions that provide our clients with a competitive advantage in their marketplace.
Orbital Technologies is currently seeking experienced C++ software developers to join our team.
Required Qualifications:
- B.Sc. in Computer Science or equivalent
- Proficiency in C and C++ programming: a minimum of one year full time experience, where C++ was the primary programming language
- 1 -3 years experience as a software developer
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Excellent problem solving skills
- Flexibility to work on different types of software development, as requested by our clients
- Passion to learn
- Drive to succeed
The following additional qualifications would be an asset:
- Software design experience
- Knowledge of software engineering practices and quality processes
- Experience with the Visual Studio development environment
