Vancouver, BC – March 6, 2003 – Orbital is proud to announce that it has successfully ported the Protexis nTitles system from a Windows to Macintosh Platform. The nTitles flexible digital licensing solution provides copy protection, license management and administration of license and sales activities for leading software publishers.
“By porting nTitles from Windows to Macintosh, we are able to offer our customers both platform standards. Orbital was integral in providing this functionality and their development team was responsive to our needs,” said Murray Hendren, Protexis Acting CEO and Chief Operating Officer.
When Protexis secured Orbital for this project, nTitles was only available on a variety of Windows platforms (95, 2000/NT, 98, Me and XP). In completing this project, Orbital was able to extend the identical functionality of nTitles to Macintosh platforms 8.6 to OSX 10.2.
In order to port nTitles from Windows to the Macintosh, Orbital applied a rigorous scientific approach that Orbital has developed as a result of expertise with this type of project. This approach involved:
· A comparison of source and target platforms
· A review of functionality mapping for both core and platform functionality between the source and target platforms
· An efficiency review to ensure a proper compatibility methodology had been chosen
· Continual coding and testing throughout the development process to ensure that we achieved results of the highest quality
