Orbital Technologies Purchases Office Building Along Broadway Corridor to Meet Growth Plans
Vancouver, BC – February 15, 2007 – Orbital Technologies Inc., a Vancouver-based software development services company, announced today that it has finalized the acquisition of an office building on False Creek’s south slope. The company plans to open its new office in late 2007. The space will accommodate the company’s future growth plans and place its office in one of Vancouver’s fastest growing business hubs.
“Orbital develops software for some of the biggest software and technology companies in the world, and we’re growing. We’ve been developing software since our inception in 1997, and we felt it was prudent to establish solid roots in Vancouver by acquiring our own space,” said Debra Small, Vice President of Finance at Orbital Technologies. “With proximity to the new Canada Line and the downtown core, a building along the Broadway corridor is well located for our people and our customers. Our new office will provide easy access to transit, a great selection of nearby amenities and spectacular views of downtown Vancouver and the North Shore Mountains.”
The company plans to start renovations on the building this summer for occupation in late fall. As a software company, Orbital Technologies will have special requirements for the building. Small noted that the most important features are security, high-speed data connectivity and networking, private offices for all employees, parking for employees and clients, and generally a high-quality environment for Orbital’s people.
